![]() The weapon selection here is different from the Dark Mansion, consisting of: Golden Spear, Dragonslayer, Cavalry Sabre, six Pukeyballs, or a set of haunted silverware (fork, spoon and knife, as well as 3-4 food). Like a regular Dark Mansion, the Haunted Mansion will always contain a rare weapon. In addition, zombies will spawn from the floor, similar to a Siege. Interacting with a ghost for the first time unlocks the " Paranormal" cheevo. Asking about its flexing will give your character +1 to strength and -2 to morale, while asking it about sassing will cause the character to lose 1 morale. Sassy Ghost: You can either ask it about its flexing, or ask it about its sass. When the Cool It gauge is full, it gives +3 morale to the whole party and a selection of rewards. A character who is already annoying can tell the ghost to Cool It! Doing so without a full gauge gives that character +2 morale. Annoying Ghost: Speaking to him sets the character's Wits and Attitude to 0 (allowing them to use COOL IT) and lowers their morale by 2.Nice Teeth Ghost: You can ask the ghost about its teeth, which causes it to chomp the character, dealing 1 damage(non-lethal) to them, increasing their vitality by 1, and lowering their morale by 2.Kissing it will cause it to explode (dealing 2 non-lethal damage to the character), and imbue that character with ghostly energy (increasing fitness by 1 and morale by 3). Talking to it about its shyness will give the speaking character a +1 to morale. Shy Ghost: You can either talk to the ghost about their shyness, or kiss them.Left to right: Shy Ghost, Nice Teeth Ghost, Sassy Ghost, Annoying Ghost Speaking to one may cause your character to take a morale hit. There are also four different kinds of ghosts which one of your party members can interact with. However, this can also be beneficial as haunted furniture acts similar to thrown furniture and can kill zombies. This does not harm players but can obstruct their movement if the object is too big (e.g. Certain pieces of furniture (chairs, drawers and fridges) may be possessed, causing them to periodically float in the air and attack zombies. The layout (and darkness) is similar to the Dark Mansion, however, as the name implies, this particular mansion is haunted. Events like Silent Guardian or the Axe Merchant will have nothing happen while talking to the Witch, even with a ' Cool It !!!', will still inflict a negative penalty. The Haunted Mansion is a very rare location found in Death Road to Canada. There are some situations and people you cannot use ' Cool It !!!' and instead will just have a regular 'COOL IT'. It is recommended to build up the 'Cool it' counter off of common weapons traders and stat trainers in Trader Camps, as (with the exception of the Weapon Fanatic) the worst they will do is kick the party out of the camp immediately, whereas most other 'dud' instances confer much harsher penalties. Certain events such as And Then a Sasquatch and Cool-it Diplomacy will increment the 'Cool it' stat more than once or even instantly maximize it. Once the regular 'Cool it' option has been selected 3 times, 'Cool It !!!', differentiated by three flashing exclamation marks, replaces the ordinary option to reflect the availability of a new, beneficial outcome. The group has a hidden 'Cool it' stat which increases whenever a character says 'Cool it' in dialogue. Unlike regular usage, ' Cool It !!!' is always beneficial to the group, with possible rewards ranging from supplies to free stat training to even exclusive Rare Recruits. Losing the stat combo by increasing either stat to 2 or above will result in that character losing this dialogue choice.Īlthough the option may seem self-sabotaging and overall useless, after 3 uses of it on the same run, the character will have the option to say ' Cool It !!!' instead. These stats are automatically granted to characters with 'Irritating' or 'BERSERK!' Traits and may be randomly given to other characters provided their own Wits and Attitude were not already predetermined. This option will be available as long as at least one member in the party has 0 or 1 in both Wits and Attitude, giving them the 'Grating' Stat Combo. ![]() ![]() Selecting this option almost always results in penalties, including automatic failure, harsh punishments, or even the death of the character. This can be used in many events and encounters throughout the game, from traders and bandits to hermits and bees. When prompted with options during Events and with Traders, Characters with sufficiently low Wits and Attitude may be given the option to say 'COOL IT' or 'SAY IT DON'T SPRAY IT'.
