Charlie was honorably discharged as Signalman 1st Class in 1946 with the following ribbons: Purple Heart, Good Conduct, American Campaign, Asiatic Pacific, World War II Medal, and the Commemorative Action Medal.Ĭharlie graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, and received his Masters in Education from Fitchburg State College. Beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Roberts) Elwood, to whom he was married for 71 years. passed away on at the age of 92 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer.
